Jake Barton / 9/11 Memorial and Museum

Designer Jake Barton will describe some of his work on those innovative exhibitions, as well as several other projects that aim to make the observer an active participant in the exhibit.

DDB and WATERisLIFE
“Kenya Bucket List,” which launched in August 2013, is a deeply emotional online film about a four-year-old Maasai boy named Nkaitole who has never been out of his remote African village accepting the opportunity to do things he has always wanted to do before he turned five years old. The film compiles all of Nkaitole’s amazing experiences to help drive home the message that one in five children don’t reach their fifth birthday as a result of unsafe drinking water in sub-Saharan Africa. The film has been viewed approximately 800,000 times and the campaign helped to raise enough money to build a clean water well in Nkaitole’s village. Come to this session to meet the minds behind this campaign and learn more about viral video for social change.
